About Me

Hi my name is Emily! I am a second year computer science student at the University of Sheffield, currently seeking a placement year opportunity. I am passionate about software development, with interests in full stack development and user experience.

I like to approach projects with both a technical and creative mindset, blending both problem-solving with design thinking to create software that is both functional and enjoyable to use.

In my spare time I really enjoy drawing and digital art. Being creative helps me design visually engaging experiences.

  • DERA Research Group Website Design (Aug - Sept 2025)
    Redesigned their website using Google Sites, improving cohesion and giving staff an easy-to-update themed layout. I still periodically update the site with new information that is sent to me.
  • Supervisor, Tsuki Restaurant and Bar (Sept 2023 - Current)
    Responsible for friendly customer service, cashing up tills and team coordination in busy environments while maintaining a good working environment. Developed leadership, teamwork and problem solving skills under pressure.
